PsiXpda Will Hit Psion PDA Market
The Psion users devices were among the most faithful to their machines. In fact, some of them still use them despite for years that are now obsolete. For them, PsiXpda can be a replacement than more interesting to bring up to date itself.
Half way between smartphone and UMPC, PsiXpda specification has an Intel Atom 1.1 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, 3G connection, and Microsoft Windows XP to make it works. PsiX PDA as replacement of the old Psion has measurement 17.4 × 8.4 × 2.5 centimeters. Obviously, with that size screen can not be too big, remaining in 5 inches and resolution 800 x 480 pixels.
It adds an USB port, mini USB, a card reader and a microSD memory port for 2.5 mm headphones. The stick of PsiXpda is their limited autonomy, only two hours if we use the integrated connectivity and up to 4 if the disable.
Its PsiXpda price will be around 550 euros, I think it’s reasonable price of Psi Xpda altough for some people it’s still expensive. Let’s compare between Psi-X-pda and Psion comes in addition to their design, because one of the former employees of this company is behind this new project. In my opinion, therefore, would have to cut price enough if they want to succeed, or the manufacture can reduce PsiXpda price lower.
